My Top 5 Re-watchable Films

Have you ever had the feeling of getting done watching a movie and think to yourself, “I could watch that again.”

Maybe you’ve had the opposite experience and when you finished the film, one time was good enough for you.

There are a handful of films that I never get tired of watching, any time anywhere I could watch them and I’d like to share this list with you.

These films aren’t necessarily my favorite films, just films I can watch without getting tired of them.  

#5 Captain America: Civil war

Captain America Civil War is a film that I can watch over and over but not just for the story or characters.

I love the cinematography of this film. I love how every frame looks like a picture you could hang on the wall and that’s how a film should be.

When every frame in this film looks like an amazing superhero action scene then its pretty great to look at over and over. 

I also feel that there is enough going on in this film, it keeps it interesting for multiple watch throughs.

This is a point in the Marvel Cinema Universe that is bringing in new characters and establishing films that will eventually be their own standalone movies like Black Panther and Spider-Man.

What got me to watch this film multiple times in the first place was that it came up on netflix and when I work I like to put something on tv in the background and this became a recurring choice.

#4 O Brother, Where Art Thou?

O Brother Where Art Thou is by far one of my favorite films that is kind of a classic for me.

I know it was made in (2000), but I was 6 when it came out so it’s a classic for me.

Now this film, I can watch just because of the characters alone and all the trouble they fall in and out of all throughout the film.

I love movies that characters stumble through without much effort like, Forest Gump, Harold and Kumar, etc..

The characters are moved around by the story of the film and we get to see how they act through it.

The trio of main actors in this film worked so well together that their lines are always funny to me no matter how many times i’ve heard them.

#3 Fury

Fury… Fury is like no other film I have seen. Everything in this film was executed perfectly. I walked away from this film genuinely caring for every character in the film as if I knew them.

They made me care about the characters that we weren’t supposed to like because they helped me understand that character on a deeper level.

Nothing I say about this film would do it justice you need to go see it if you haven’t already.

It’s funny because this was a film that I wasn’t interested in watching at all when I saw the posters and I don’t think I saw any trailers for it.

It seems the marketing may have been lacking for this film when it was released because I held out for a long time until I finally watched it.

Don’t do what I did, go see it if you haven’t already and if you have, go watch it again.

#4 Cloud Atlas

Now Cloud Atlas was a very very very close tie for my number 1, but you’ll see what beat it and understand.

Cloud Atlas has so many great things going for it everything from, telling 6 stories at the same time to using the same characters in make up for those same 6 stories.

I really think that is what makes this film so easy to watch over and over, because you are constantly watching 6 different stories at the same time and they all tie back into one big story.

I really like the jumps in time difference make it really intriguing for me.

The times go from 1849 all the way to 2321 so the range of genre jumps around and covers alot.

Pretty much if this film pops up on tv or netflix I will pretty much pick it to watch anytime.

#1 The matrix  

I am pretty confident this film will always be at the top of my lists. I grew up watching this film on repeat in my VHS player.

I knew every line and every fight move in every scene. Now this might be a case where this film is only re-watchable to me just because of the history I have growing up watching it.

I can understand other people thinking it not being great, (They’d be wrong).

As a kid this movie was great, we see a guy basically beat up guys that nobody can and even get shot without dieing.

As an adult the story line has a super relatable character, Neo, who goes from being boring Thomas Anderson to the unstoppable ONE who is the most unique person on the planet.

The film is full of so many metaphors for religion and real world government issues. You can analyse this film for days and keep finding more things.

This film can be on 24/7 in my house and I am perfectly fine with that.
